I'm delighted to be the expandance member involved with NACHMO! this year and I've been busy over the last week coming up with new choreography. This is a change in the norm for me as in expandance our daily studio practice consists of meditation and improvisation. In all our performance work we improvise and NACHMO! is challenging me to combine this practice with the choreography of set material. Thank you NACHMO! The above video is a short example of how I've been developing set choreography and combining it with our practice of improvisation over the past week.
As a founding member of expandance I'm privileged to share the stage with Rachel Wynne (artistic-director based in NYC) and Laurie Schneider (founding member based in Dublin). We're a trans-Atlantic contemporary dance theatre company founded in Dublin in 2006 and we hold performances and workshops regularly in both countries.
